SCMG members, South Coast NRM Inc. staff and local coasties celebrated the success of the 'Implementation of Southern Shores' project on Sunday 2nd August 2009, with the unveiling of the new cover of Southern Shores 2009-2030.

SCMG Chair Bill Auburn thanked South Coast NRM Inc. Acting CEO Lee Sounness for the regional NRM group's support of SCMG, in both direct funding and in-kind staff time.

Achievements of the 'Implementation of Southern Shores' project include three Local Government area projects, the review of Southern Shores, and support of capacity building activities such as regional coastal forums and education initiatives.
